As long as the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) membership and the measures related to the draft law on starting the process of joining the European Union (EU) are compatible, Armenia will follow this path. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this during a press briefing at the government Thursday.
“This is our sovereign decision, and we will make our sovereign decisions. Nothing has changed in our plans. As for strawberries, roses and other products, if it seems to you that there were no such problems before, you are sorely mistaken; the same problems arise all the time. And since 2018, I have been sending the same message to all our partners: all products must be produced in accordance with standards. We are not going to assist, at the expense of our sovereignty, the export of products that do not meet the standards,” Pashinyan said.
He added that all producers in Armenia whose products meet the established standards will receive assistance.
