Armenia wants to remain in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), but there are “nuances” in this matter, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said in response to a question from Vesti newscast.

Overchuk was asked whether anything had been agreed with Armenia at the EAEU summit in Astana on Friday.

“Armenia has always been committed to the position, and we see it, that they want to remain in the Eurasian Economic Union. But there are nuances here,” the Russian deputy premier said.

Earlier, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov had reported that a “practical discussion” of the situation related to Armenia’s membership in the Eurasian Economic Union had taken place in Astana.
