More than 42,000 Armenian citizens left for Russia for work in the first three months of 2026, as per the statistical data reviewed by TASS.
Thus, from January to March 2026, a total of 42,366 Armenian nationals entered Russia for work. In the same period of 2025, this figure was 45,526 people.
In total, 112,741 Armenian citizens left for Russia in the first quarter of 2026, compared to 125,143 in 2025. Of these, almost 50,699 were on a personal visit, 3,200 indicated “study” as their purpose, 1,568 indicated tourism, and 1,308 indicated business purposes. In addition, 12,289 Armenian nationals entered Russia as service personnel, and 1,311 used the country as a transit zone.
These Armenian citizens traveled to Russia mainly by air (69,761 people) and by car (39,857 people). Also, 3,054 Armenian nationals crossed the border to Russia on foot, and only 68 people used the train.
