How can we rule out that Armenian citizens arriving from Russia and other countries may be given a notice to participate in reservist training? Minister of Defense of Armenia Suren Papikyan, who is on vacation to participate in the ruling party’s election campaign for Sunday’s parliamentary elections, stated this while speaking with reporters Thursday.

“So, do conscripts arriving from Russia not have obligations to the homeland? Naturally, I cannot rule [it] out,” Papikyan noted.

He noted that this also applies to Armenian nationals arriving from France, the US and all other countries.

“I am not saying that everyone is being sent to [military] training,” the minister of defense added.
