Former Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan, who heads the electoral list of the Wings of Unity party, on Sunday voted in the parliamentary elections.

Tatoyan came to the Yerevan polling station with his son.

“We have recorded all the [electoral] violations. These elections are of historical significance, we are deciding our future. If citizens want positive changes, they should participate in the elections.

It is important that citizens consider when voting who can govern the country, who has an idea about it, who has proven in difficult times that he is on the side of the citizens, even to the detriment of personal interests.

We are receiving alerts about [electoral] violations, we are following them, we will cooperate with partners and reporters in this matter. Everyone’s participation in the vote is extremely important. We are ready for any post-election process within the framework of the law and the constitution [of Armenia].

We need authorities that will not shift their own guilt and responsibility onto others and will not offend the people. This should not be a choice for the sake of the interests of other countries, the choice must be made now," Tatoyan told reporters after casting his ballot.
