YEREVAN. – The recent election week caused for the U.S. dollar increase in the Armenian financial market. The exchange offices purchased over $63 million and sold $68 million on Wednesday to Friday, Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) reports.

To note, banks purchased over $70 million on the weekly basis. However, later the U.S. dollar offer increased. If taken into account, conditionally, that it is due to the elections, then $50-$60 million additional dollars appeared in the circulation since April 20.
