In 2011 there were 3,940 convicts in Armenia, National Statistics’ Service reports.
To note, compared to 2010 the number of convicts decreased by 462 which is due to amnesty. As in previous years, the most common type of crime is assault on property (30percent). Military crimes ranked second with 18 percent.
