Bright Armenia Party chairman and prime ministerial candidate Edmon Marukyan voted in Sunday’s parliamentary elections in the country.

Marukyan cast his ballot at polling station 1/20 in Yerevan's Avan administrative district.

At least 105 MPs will be elected to the National Assembly of Armenia, unless the norms on providing additional parliamentary seats to some other political forces due to the peculiarities of the election law are applied.

The Armenian parliament is elected under the proportional representation system; that is, only by party lists.

Sixteen parties and two blocs are vying for seats in the 9th convocation of the parliament of Armenia.

The threshold for entering the parliament is 4% for parties, and 8% for blocs.
