French President Emmanuel Macron has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the ruling Civil Contract party’s victory in Sunday’s parliamentary elections in Armenia.

“Accept my heartfelt congratulations, dear Nikol Pashinyan, on this convincing victory in the legislative elections.

I am happy to continue working with you to further strengthen our cooperation for the benefit of our peoples, to support peace and Armenia’s sovereignty, and to promote [Armenia’s] rapprochement with Europe,” Macron wrote on X.
