We welcome the positive dynamics in relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We express our hope that this process will contribute to the establishment of long-term peace in the region. Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili stated this at a press conference in Istanbul following a meeting with the foreign ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan, reports Georgian First Channel.

According to Maka Botchorishvili, Georgia, for its part, stands ready to continue contributing to the reinforcement of peace, stability, and constructive cooperation across the region.

“We [i.e. Georgia] also welcome the progress achieved towards the normalization of relations between Türkiye and Armenia,” Botchorishvili added.

Georgian FM reported that a joint declaration was signed as a result of the meeting, which outlines the core directions of their collaboration.

“Our shared goal is to transform our region into a space of cooperation, economic development, connectivity, and prosperity, where states can fully exploit their existing potential and further deepen partnerships built on mutual interests,” the Georgian FM said.
