According to the electoral code of Armenia, the deadline for submitting petitions for recount of Sunday’s National Assembly (parliament) results has expired at 11:00 Tuesday, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia informs.

A total of 21 out of 38 precinct election commissions have not received petitions for recounting the votes, and 17 precinct election commissions have received 30 petitions in this regard from proxies and MP candidates of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Wings of Unity party, and the "Armenia" bloc.

A total of 555 precinct election commissions have received petitions for recounting the results of Sunday’s parliamentary vote. Precinct election commissions will sum up the petitions received at their meetings convened at noon, and information will be publicized on the CEC website about which precinct election commissions will recount the results of the vote.

The recount is carried out live at the premises of the precinct election commissions, and is open to those who are eligible to attend these meetings: accredited members of the media, members of accredited observation missions, as well as authorized representatives, proxies, MP candidates, and authorized persons of the parties and blocs participating in the elections.

The precinct election commissions have not received any petitions for invalidating the results of the vote at a polling station.
