The prosecution has initiated public criminal prosecution against Prosperous Armenia Party chairman Gagik Tsarukyan, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.
"Criminal prosecution has been initiated under Article 290, Section 3, Paragraph 2 (tax evasion on a particularly large scale) of the Criminal Code. The ban on absence [from Armenia] has been chosen as a preventive measure," the Prosecutor General's Office added.
