YEREVAN.-  Representative of ARF Dashnaktsutyun bureau Hrant Margaryan voted in Arabkir district of Yerevan on Sunday. The parliamentary elections kicked off in Armenia at 8 am.

Talking to journalists, Margaryan said he came to elections in a good mood. He also expressed hope that these election “would become new start” for the Armenian people.

The ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party’s proportional list includes 85 candidates. Eight candidates will run for an MP seat with majority system. The party’s motto is “Freedom, Justice, Dashnaktsutyun [Federation].”

 Eight political parties and one block have presented their nominations – Republican Party of Armenian, Prosperous Armenia Party, Orinats Yerkir, opposition Armenian National Congress, opposition Heritage Party, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, the Communist Party of Armenia, Democratic Party of Armenia and United Armenians Party.
