YEREVAN. – Armenia’s National Security Council (NSC) Secretary and Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party Chairman Arthur Baghdasaryan cast his ballot, during the National Assembly elections, in the capital Yerevan on Sunday at 10am. He was accompanied by his wife.

To the question as to his mood while coming to vote, Baghdasaryan said he is in a very good mood, and that he went to the church in the morning with his family and lit a candle for success and victory.  

“We wished the country good elections, as a result of which Armenia’s accumulated problems would be solved fairly and lawfully,” the NSC Secretary noted.      

Baghdasaryan also said he voted in the name of building a country of law, deepening reforms in Armenia, and, in general, for the sake of Armenia’s progress and growth.   

In his words, no reports have come in so far with respect to voting fraud in any election precinct.

“I am going to the Party. Everything is in a normal process. Two hours have passed, but the voters are participating fairly actively in the elections,” he said. 

As to what he wishes to the opponents, Arthur Baghdasaryan responded: “I wish victory to everyone, without exception!”

Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) is a party founded in 1997. The leader of the party, Arthur Baghdasaryan, is the Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council. The party is included in the ruling coalition along with the Republican Party of Armenia and Prosperous Armenia Party.

The proportional list includes 178 names. The party has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.

Orinats Yerkir’s election campaign slogan is: “Let us believe to build rule of law!”
