YEREVAN.- Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan voted at 10/21 polling station in Yerevan downtown.

Answering the journalists’ questions Premier said he came to the polling station in a festive mood. Tigran Sargsyan said he expects that every citizen will perform his civil duty, while the government had created all conditions for legitimate election, Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.

He also commented on the recent criticism against the government voiced by the second president Robert Kocharyan.

“I agree with Armenia’s first and second presidents that we need changes,” he said.

Eight political parties and one block have presented their nominations – Republican Party of Armenian, Prosperous Armenia Party, Orinats Yerkir, opposition Armenian National Congress, opposition Heritage Party, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, the Communist Party of Armenia, Democratic Party of Armenia and United Armenians Party.

For entering the National Assembly, parties must poll over 5% of votes, while blocks - over 7%.
