YEREVAN.- Armenia’s first president, leader of the opposition Armenian National Congress Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his spouse voted at the 9/11 polling station in Yerevan downtown (photo).

Ter-Petrosyan told the journalists that he was voting for a better Armenia and bright future. Opposition bloc’s leader stressed he would admit any results if elections are held without violations.

Earlier incumbent President Serzh Sargsayan voted in the same polling station.

Armenian National Congress (ANC) is an opposition bloc founded in 2008 after presidential elections. During the August 1, 2008, rally in Yerevan the first President of Armenia and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan announced formation of the bloc. ANC comprises 18 parties and political forces.

ANC proportional list includes 119 names. It has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.
