Azerbaijanis have destroyed a monument in  Astghashen village of Azerbaijani-occupied Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), commemorating the Astghashen fighters who died in the Artsakh liberation war, informed the Artsakh State Service for the Protection of Historical Environment.

According to the analysis of satellite photos, between April 19, 2024 and July 15, 2025, the Azerbaijani regime destroyed the aforesaid monument in Astghashen, which was erected in 2012.

During the same period, the monument to the Astghashen villagers who died in the Great Patriotic War, which was erected in the 1970s, was also destroyed.

“Does [Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson] Maria Zakharova have nothing to say [about this]?” added the Artsakh State Service for the Protection of Historical Environment.
