Two Palestinian commanders were killed in strikes on the Gaza Strip over the weekend, the Israel Defense Forces announced.

The Israeli military said Hamas platoon commander Mohammed Saeed Ahmed Nimroti and Muawiya Sulaiman Zakar Aydi, a platoon commander in Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s central camps battalion, were killed in the attacks.

Israel said they both had taken part in the October 7, 2023, attack on Kibbutz Be’eri.

No further details of the operation or the exact location of the strikes were given.
