Opposition "Armenia" Alliance has filed a petition with Constitutional Court of Armenia to invalidate results of June 7 National Assembly (parliament) elections in the country.
Lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan told members of the media that an extensive package of arguments has been submitted to the Constitutional Court in this regard, and these arguments show that the aforesaid elections were held with such large-scale and systematic violations that do not imply an interim decision.
When asked whether the “Armenia” Alliance will demand the self-recusal of some judges of the Constitutional Court, Khudoyan noted the obvious affiliation of some of these judges with the ruling Civil Contract party.
The lawyer added that the matter of petitioning to international bodies in this regard has not yet been discussed at the “Armenia” Alliance.
