Israel faces a repeat of the history in 2000, when the country’s armed forces were “shamefully” withdrawn from Lebanese territory, Esmail Qaani, Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, said Monday.

“If you [i.e. Israel] do not leave southern Lebanon yourself, the historical events of 2000 will be repeated. You left this land shamefully then. If you continue the aggression and occupation, you will also be expelled today with humiliation and defeat. The choice is yours,” Qaani stated, PressTV of Iran reports.

He added that in less than four days, the Israel Defense Forces have lost more than 100 soldiers, and Tel Aviv continues to violate the ceasefire, inflicting "lethal blows" on the Lebanese civilian population.
