An event dedicated to World Refugee Day was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, at the initiative of the so-called “Western Azerbaijan” community.
During the event, the so-called “return to Western Azerbaijan” concept was once again promoted, by which Azerbaijan means the sovereign territory of Armenia.
The participants declared the need to implement the corresponding “Return Concept,” presenting it as a “matter of historical justice and restoration of human rights”.
Such statements demonstrate Baku’s continuing territorial and historical claims to Armenia, which contradicts the peace agenda proclaimed by the Azerbaijani authorities and the course of normalization of relations between the two countries.
