The Russian side expects a decision from Armenia on the issue of membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Russia’s permanent representative to the CSTO, Viktor Vasilyev, told RIA Novosti.

Responding to the question of what actions the Russian side expects from the Armenian side, Vasilyev noted: "They must make a decision: do they remain in the organization? Or do they give preference to a different scenario?"

"They must inform us about it," he added.

Earlier, Russia’s permanent representative to the CSTO had stated that the issue of Armenia's further membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization will be thoroughly discussed by the leadership of the organization.
