Keiko Fujimori, the candidate from the right-wing Popular Force party, has won Peru's presidential election, the National Office of Electoral Processes of Peru (ONPE) announced.

According to official ONPE data, with 100% of ballots counted, Fujimori received the support of 9,223,396 citizens, or 50.135% of the vote. Her main rival, Roberto Sanchez of the Together for Peru party, received 49.865%. He was supported by 9,173,755 voters.

Fujimori became the first woman in the history of Peru to be democratically elected to the highest public office in the country. Dina Boluarte had assumed the presidency in 2022, but she had taken office after parliament had removed preceding president Pedro Castillo from power for attempting to dissolve the legislature.
