Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Sulkhan Tamazashvili, the PM’s office informs.

The premier welcomed the Georgian official’s visit to Armenia, and highlighted the consistent development of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Armenia and Georgia. According to Pashinyan, there is great potential for cooperation in bilateral relations, the realization of which is also significantly facilitated by such mutual visits and high-level active contacts.

Also, the prime minister highlighted the joint programs of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Armenia and Georgia; in particular, in the fight against crime, illegal drug trafficking, as well as in further increasing the level of internal security.

In turn, Tamazashvili noted that he had productive discussions with his Armenian counterparts, including on the implementation of joint programs. In his opinion, they will give a new impetus to the strengthening of bilateral ties in order to more effectively confront the current challenges.

Subsequently, the interlocutors exchanged views on cooperation between Armenia and Georgia and future courses of action in various directions.
