Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: The expected visit of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to Armenia today has also raised concerns in some [Armenian] authorities’ circles.

Months ago, the holding of a European forum [in] and especially [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelenskyy’s visit [to Yerevan] were followed by Russian sanctions in the form of export restrictions, which was also predicted by some clear-headed members of the CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party and its parliamentary faction] team.

Now the same people predict that after the visit of the European lady, the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation] will bring the second major package of sanctions [against Armenia] to the fore.

The visit of the European delegation [to Armenia] on July 1-2, in which [European Commissioner for Enlargement] Marta Kos will also participate, will be a unique gesture of support for [PM] Nikol Pashinyan, after the parliamentary elections [on June 7] and before the publicizing of the CC [i.e. the Constitutional Court of Armenia] decision [on these elections], but its consequences will be felt by the people [of Armenia], first of all, the business entities.
