Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the official farewell ceremony for Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei at the Grand Mosalla mosque in Tehran, the PM’s office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Pashinyan is accompanied by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, and several other officials.

Also, the Armenian premier conveyed his condolences to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, as well as to Ali Khamenei’s family members.

During the farewell ceremony, the Armenian prime minister paid tribute to Khamenei and made a note in the book of condolences.

This morning, Ali Khamenei's body was transported to Tehran, and Iranians began to bid farewell to the ayatollah.

Three coffins are placed on the pedestal of Tehran's largest mosque, the Grand Mosalla: Ali Khamenei, his 14-month-old granddaughter Zahra, and his daughter Boshra. They were killed on February 28, the first day of US-Israeli strikes on Iran,.

The final farewell ceremonies will be held in several cities in Iran and will last until July 9.

Representatives of around 100 countries are expected to participate in the funeral.

The farewell ceremony in Tehran will take place from July 4 to 6, and in Qom on July 7. On July 8, Ali Khamenei's body is scheduled to be transported to Iraq so that Shiite Muslims there can pay their last respects. And on July 9, the ayatollah will be buried in his hometown of Mashhad.
