US company Weave Robotics has unveiled a robotic home system called Isaac 1, designed to automate everyday household tasks — from cleaning rooms to helping with laundry, Interesting Engineering reports.
The robot is capable of performing a wide range of actions: cleaning rooms, making beds, folding clothes, sorting items, and putting objects away around the house. In most cases it operates autonomously, but when complex tasks arise, a remote operator can connect and take control.
Isaac 1 is a development of the earlier version, Isaac 0, introduced in 2026. Unlike it, the new robot has received a wheeled mobile platform, allowing it to move around the house. Its design includes a height-adjustable body that can vary from about 0.9 to 1.75 meters, enabling it to perform tasks at different levels — from the floor to furniture and shelves.
The system is equipped with two robotic manipulators, multiple cameras, and artificial intelligence algorithms for object recognition and spatial navigation. The robot can independently determine the location of items and carry out tidying tasks.
When necessary, Isaac 1 switches to remote-control mode: an operator can temporarily take over and complete difficult operations, after which the system returns to autonomous operation. According to the company, this hybrid approach makes it possible to combine reliability and flexibility in real home conditions.
The company also says that, for privacy protection, the cameras can be physically turned off when they are not in use. The device’s design is adapted for the home environment and includes soft panels and a screen with “expressive” digital eyes.
Weave Robotics plans to expand the robot’s functionality through software updates. The device is priced at $7,999, or about $449 per month via subscription. The first deliveries are expected in the US in 2026, with sales expanding further in 2027.
