The journalists of Armat Media have been summoned to the Investigative Committee of Armenia for questioning, the aforesaid news agency’s journalists told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

On June 5, law enforcement officers had confiscated Armat Media’s computers during a search there. The news agency’s chief editor, Nelli Avetisyan, had stated that they were editing computers, and now Armat Media could not work, broadcast live, and prepare studio programs.

The owner of Armat Media is Alik Aleksanyan, a member of the opposition Strong Armenia bloc. He was arrested a few days before the June 7 parliamentary elections on charges of materially interesting in participation in rallies and money laundering. The search at Armat Media was carried out within the framework of this case.
