U.S. President Donald Trump posted on his Truth Social account a photo showing him standing next to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, captioning it: "A restraining order is needed here."
In the picture, Meloni is looking at the American leader, and the post is accompanied by the caption: "A restraining order is needed here." In the United States, such a court order is usually issued for protection against harassment and prohibits one person from approaching another.
This is not the first public jab Trump has made at Meloni. In June, he said that at the G7 summit the Italian prime minister had allegedly "begged" him to take a photo together. Meloni rejected those remarks, calling them "completely fabricated" and stressing that "neither I nor Italy beg anyone for anything."
