Searches have been ongoing for 12 hours at the home of Prosperous Armenia party leader Gagik Tsarukyan. Tsarukyan is at home together with members of his family.
It should be noted that since this morning, searches have been carried out simultaneously at more than 70 addresses as part of more than ten criminal proceedings.
Earlier, NEWS.am reported that a search had been underway since early morning at Gagik Tsarukyan's home. Later, Prosperous Armenia party spokesperson Iveta Tonoyan said that large-scale searches were also being conducted in almost all companies belonging to the Multi Group concern, as well as in the homes of the heads of those organizations.
Recall that a few days earlier, the prosecutor's office had submitted a motion to the Central Election Commission to strip Gagik Tsarukyan of immunity, but it was never considered.
During the election campaign, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan threatened to deprive his opponents of their property and to arrest them. In particular, he was referring to Samvel Karapetyan, Robert Kocharyan, and Gagik Tsarukyan.
