NATO member states will sign tens of billions of dollars in defense deals at a summit in Ankara, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte wrote in an article for The Washington Post.

When leaders gather in Ankara, they will announce tens of billions of dollars in new deals with companies in Europe and North America. They will also show how they are investing in key technologies to meet the security needs of today and tomorrow, the NATO chief noted.

According to him, at the Ankara summit, NATO countries intend to show how they are investing in defense, rebalancing their security, and strengthening their industrial base.

The NATO high-level meeting will be held in Ankara, Turkey on Tuesday and Wednesday. Threats and challenges for the North Atlantic Alliance, Ukraine, and NATO's southern flank will be among the main topics of the summit.
