Oil prices are rising Tuesday after a slight decline Monday, and the situation in the Middle East remains in the focus of the market.
Brent oil futures for September rose $0.57, or 0.79%, to $72.56 a barrel on the ICE Futures stock exchange in London. Brent had fallen $0.13, or 0.2%, to $71.99 a barrel on Monday.
The WTI oil futures for August went up $0.52, or 0.76%, to $69.07 a barrel in online trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). In the previous session, they had dropped by $0.14, or 0.2%, to $68.55 per barrel.
