NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced the creation of a “one-stop shop” for military procurement called the “NATO Front Door.” He made the statement on July 7 at the Defense Industry Forum in Ankara.
“Today we are launching the NATO Front Door initiative for the defense industry. This initiative will give the defense industry a single point of contact for resolving any issues related to military procurement,” Mirage quoted him as saying.
Rutte urged representatives of the European and American defense industries to engage actively with NATO and make contact through this “door.” The new mechanism is intended to address all issues related to military procurement.
