Ukraine’s “long-range sanctions” reached the Saratov region, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan, the country’s president Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Telegram. In addition, Ukrainian forces struck the Voronezh region.
Oil refineries in the Saratov region and in Tatarstan were hit, he clarified. Zelensky said nothing about the consequences of the strike on Bashkortostan.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported attacks on oil refineries in the Saratov region and Nizhnekamsk, but Bashkortostan was not mentioned in the update. Monitoring channels wrote about an attack on the oil refinery in Ufa. The authorities of Bashkortostan announced a UAV threat, and Ufa airport temporarily restricted operations. Local authorities did not report on the consequences.
