Hossein Amir Teymouri, the governor of Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf, said that more than ten shells were fired at the island on Sunday afternoon.
According to him, 10–11 shells struck several areas of the island. The governor said that all of the targeted sites were military facilities.
There have so far been no reports of deaths or injuries as a result of the strike.
