Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia sent a congratulatory message to President Emmanuel Macron of France on the latter’s the National Day, the PM’s office informs.

The message reads as follows, in particular:

“I note with great satisfaction that the relations between Armenia and France, anchored on the basis of these values, have reached an unprecedented level in recent years, acquiring a new quality and strategic content.

Today, the strategic partnership between Armenia and France is confidently developing in all key areas, from political dialogue and defense to economy, investments, infrastructure, energy, education, science, culture and decentralized cooperation. At the same time, our cooperation is successfully expanding in such promising areas as innovations, artificial intelligence, biodiversity conservation and the climate agenda. I am confident that the consistent implementation of the jointly developed ambitious agenda will bring our partnership to a higher level for the benefit of both friendly peoples.

Armenia greatly values the key role and consistent support of France in deepening our country’s partnership with the European Union, expanding the Armenia-European Union cooperation agenda, as well as in democratic reforms and institutional development.

I would like to emphasize once again how highly we appreciate the support of France and your personal support for Armenia’s sovereignty, strengthening of its resilience and democratic development. I appreciate with special gratitude your personal leadership and commitment in this direction.

Once again congratulating you and the friendly French people on the occasion of the National Day, I wish peace, prosperity and continued success, and to Armenia and France, new achievements and further strengthening of our strategic partnership for the benefit of both peoples."
