Romania may lose €4.5 billion in funding from the European Commission due to delays in implementing reforms under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). This was reported by Digi 24 on July 14.
"The political crisis could lead to the loss of billions of euros from the PNRR budget. The lack of consensus on the formation of a new government also means a lack of consensus on European funding," the publication says.
According to the TV channel, parliament will convene for an extraordinary session at the end of this month, but the government-proposed programs can only be adopted if an agreement is reached between the former partners in the ruling coalition.
