Taiwan and the United States have reached a consensus on the joint production of the Jingfeng-1 light tactical kamikaze drone. This was reported by the newspaper Liberty Times.
Washington and Taipei have compiled a list of military equipment and weapons systems that can be jointly produced and sold by the United States on the international market. The first such project will be the Jingfeng-1. Before production begins, the project must undergo additional review and receive legislative approval.
The loitering munition was developed by the Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology in Taiwan. It has passed operational testing and is already in service with the Taiwanese Marine Corps. The drone can be mounted on manned high-speed boats, unmanned surface vessels, and ground vehicles.
