The index evaluates 85 countries that meet the criteria for GDP, foreign direct investment, tourism, or level of human development.
Europe accounts for 20 of the world's top 30 countries, with the strong positions of the Scandinavian countries leading the way.
The United States ranks 27th overall, the lowest among the G7 countries.
