In New York, within the framework of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Robert Abisogomonyan participated and spoke at a side event titled "Uniting Science, Policy, and Experience to Solve the Triple Planetary Crisis: Strengthening Synergy for SDGs and a Sustainable Future After 2030."
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to addressing the interconnected challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental pollution. He added that COP17 could contribute to further strengthening political commitment and expanding support from the international community.
In the context of effectively overcoming the triple planetary crisis, Abisogomonyan stressed the importance of an inclusive approach at the national level and ensuring the full participation of all stakeholders. He presented the ongoing efforts of the Government of Armenia in this direction to the attendees.
He also reaffirmed Armenia's readiness to cooperate with all partners to strengthen synergy and ensure a sustainable future, including in its capacity as the future host and presiding country of COP17.
