Trump is leaning toward expanding U.S. military operations in Iran, including the use of ground troops and the bombing of a secret nuclear facility. The Wall Street Journal writes about this.
According to the newspaper, on Tuesday Trump held a meeting in the Situation Room to discuss three escalation options:
1. Seizing Kharg Island (Iran’s main oil export hub) using American troops.
2. Bombing Mount Pickax — a deeply fortified tunnel complex linked to nuclear development that the U.S. has not yet attacked.
3. Expanding airstrikes on energy facilities.
Trump has not yet made a final decision.
