In Armenia, in the event of the death of farm animals or their compulsory slaughter due to epidemics, compensation for livestock owners will be calculated at a rate of 40% of the market price. The corresponding decision was adopted at a meeting of the Armenian government on July 16.

It is asserted that, as a result of the decision, measures to combat possible infectious diseases will become more effective, which will stimulate the development of livestock farming among economic entities.

At the same time, as a result of reducing the compensation amount per unit of output from 55% to 40%, the financial burden on the state will decrease.
