Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that his country will continue active diplomacy to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, including an initiative to organize a new round of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations.
"Unfortunately, recent events are causing concern. While diplomatic efforts have reached a deadlock, we are witnessing an intensification of the conflict. We are particularly concerned about the recent increase in attacks on civilian infrastructure and populated areas. We believe that it is necessary to return to the negotiating table as soon as possible and to show a determined commitment to diplomatic solutions. We will continue to intensify our direct diplomatic efforts, including holding talks between the parties again," he said in Kyiv at a press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha. The broadcast was carried by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on social media.
