Trade continues to be the favorite area of lending credits for Armenian banks. According to the publications of Armenia’s Central Bank, as of April 1, 2012, the total amount of credits totaled to AMD 298 billion (around $780 million).
Compared to last year, the amount of credits increased by 8.1 percent. The amount of trade credits is almost twice larger than the amount of industrial credits. Credits on consumer loans ranked second.
