United States President Donald Trump called the United Kingdom a “poor catastrophe.” The head of the White House wrote this on his Truth Social page.

Trump noted that he supports the plans of incoming British Prime Minister Andy Burnham to increase oil production at fields in the North Sea. The U.S. president stressed that this is one of the greatest sources of high-quality oil in the world, with reserves sufficient for hundreds of years, and that much of it has not yet been explored. According to Trump, North Sea oil will turn Britain from a “poor catastrophe” into one of the richest countries in the world.
