Ukrainian drones launched a massive overnight attack on the Moscow region on July 20. According to Ukrainian monitoring channels, the attack by FP-1 drones set one of Wildberries’ largest hubs in the village of Koledino in the Podolsk urban district on fire. Local residents confirmed the attack on the facility to Astra. Judging by videos, two fire sites and columns of black smoke were recorded in the Podolsk area. In a comment by Wildberries published on the pro-war Telegram channel Two Majors, the company claimed that the “logistics complex was not damaged,” but that an evacuation was carried out “to ensure safety.” “All contractors present at the site left the building in an orderly manner,” the company said.

In the Lvovsky neighborhood in southern Podolsk, an oil depot was attacked, Exilenova+ reports. Astra also writes about this after analyzing eyewitness videos. In total, five fire sites were recorded in the Moscow region, according to the channel. As a result of the drone raid, a large logistics hub in the Yuzhnye Vorota industrial park, with a total area of more than 650,000 square meters in the Domodedovo district, also caught fire. In addition, one of the UAVs crashed into a high-rise residential building. The moment of the strike was captured on video. According to Astra, this happened in Domodedovo. Domodedovo Hospital reported six injured people brought in, including three foreign nationals, with blast injuries of varying severity.

Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov confirmed the attack, which, according to him, was successfully “repelled.” “According to preliminary information, one person was injured in Domodedovo as a result of a private house catching fire, and another on the M-4 highway, where a drone fell next to a car,” he wrote on his Telegram channel. In Podolsk, according to the regional head, drone crashes “caused fires and damaged several civilian infrastructure facilities.” In the village of Maloye Tolbino, a private house caught fire. In Odintsovo, a car and a private home were damaged; no one was injured.

In total, from 8:30 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday, more than 400 UAVs were moving toward the Moscow region, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. Most of them were destroyed “on the distant approaches,” and 85 drones were shot down while approaching the capital.
