Residents of the Iranian islands are ready to give American soldiers a “warm welcome” if a ground operation begins in Iran. This was stated by Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic.

“I think there are many people there who are waiting to give [American soldiers] a ‘warm welcome,’” he said in response to U.S. threats regarding the seizure of Khark Island.
