“After the launch of the Zangezur corridor, cargo transportation from Azerbaijan toward Europe will become more efficient thanks to shorter routes, lower logistics costs, and a reduced number of border crossings.” This was stated by Kenan Gurbanov, Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Association of International Road Carriers, local media report.

According to him, one of the key priorities “after the corridor becomes operational” will be the maximum digitalization and simplification of border procedures. It is also planned to introduce modern technological solutions that are already being successfully used on other international transport routes.

It should be noted that by the “Zangezur corridor,” Azerbaijan means the sovereign territory of Armenia, which constitutes a manifestation of territorial claims against Armenia.
