Brigadier General Mohammad Karami, commander of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), visited units stationed on the coast of the Persian Gulf in the area of the Strait of Hormuz, Mehr reports.

As part of an inspection tour of the southern coastal areas and strategic islands of the Persian Gulf, General Karami reviewed combat units under the command of the Medina Munawwara base.

During the visit, he conducted a detailed assessment of the operational status of the units and the level of combat readiness of the personnel.

The general emphasized that constant readiness, specialized training, and the confident presence of IRGC Ground Forces units are key pillars for ensuring lasting security in the waters of the Persian Gulf.

According to General Karami, the IRGC Ground Forces, while closely monitoring the movements of extra-regional forces, are continuously regrouping and strengthening their defensive capabilities to neutralize any threats.
