Heads of territorial divisions of Armenia’s Investigative Committee participated in a training program titled “Combating Cybercrime for Armenia” organized by the Ministry of Public Security of China in Shanghai, the Investigative Committee reported.

As part of the training, participants attended lectures on combating financial terrorism, countering money laundering, China’s experience and achievements in fighting cybercrime, as well as technologies and methodologies for investigating electronic data.

The Investigative Committee noted that the participants, in their respective departments, deal with reports and criminal proceedings related to cybercrimes and other offenses committed through the use of information technologies.

The knowledge and experience gained during the training are expected to contribute both to the development of professional capacities and to improving the effectiveness of relevant investigative units.
